Enrichment at Honeypot Montessori
At Honeypot Montessori, we believe in the power of community-driven enrichment. Our Movement, Art, Music, Nature, and Cultural Studies programs follow a structured weekly schedule: Movement on Mondays, Art on Tuesdays, Music on Wednesdays, Nature on Thursdays, and Cultural Studies on Fridays. In a residency-style format, local artists, educators, and community members spend six weeks sharing their talents and passions with our children. Additionally, one Friday each month, we host a special Community Day, inviting local businesses and community leaders to engage with our students and introduce them to diverse skills, careers, and cultural experiences. Through these meaningful connections, we cultivate curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging.
Movement
A dynamic experience that ranges from yoga, dance, and aerobics to martial arts and other forms of physical fitness, helping children develop coordination, strength, and a love for active living.
Art
Encourages creativity and self-expression through various mediums, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, and textile arts, allowing children to explore and develop their artistic voices.
Music
Immerses children in rhythm, melody, and movement through singing, instrumental exploration, drumming, and cultural music traditions, fostering a deep appreciation for sound and self-expression.
Nature
Connects children to the outdoors through gardening, sensory exploration, nature walks, and ecological learning, fostering curiosity, stewardship, and a deep relationship with the natural world.
Cultural Studies
Immerse children in the rich histories, languages, foods, and music of diverse cultures by observing cultural awareness months and engaging in hands-on, meaningful learning experiences.
Community Day
Honeypot Montessori brings local businesses and community members into our school to share their careers, talents, and passions, giving children real-world connections and inspiring future possibilities.
